As a MEAL & Impact Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project outcomes under the Zambia THRIVE 2030 initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
Support the MEAL & Impact Specialist in developing a strong MEAL system. Ensure timely data collection, updates to the THRIVE 2030 database, and conduct periodic Data Quality Assurance (DQA) through data verification and audits. Help identify weaknesses in current systems and propose solutions for better knowledge management. Ensure project reports are completed on time and meet donor requirements. - Baseline & Impact Assessments:
Assist in conducting baseline assessments, Annual Impact Measurement (AIM), and evaluations to measure project outcomes. Collaborate with Development Facilitators to track participant progression and document impact stories. - Capacity Building:
Implement a capacity-building strategy for the project team and PIU leaders. Identify training needs and provide technical assistance on monitoring and evaluation, including using e-THRIVE app for data collection. Support training efforts for effective project implementation and data capture across Zambia THRIVE 2030 sites. - Documentation & Knowledge Management:
Ensure that all key documents and reports are uploaded to the World Vision Information Management system, Horizon. Work with teams to identify and publish impact stories, lessons learned, and other evidence products.

- Proficient in MS Office, internet usage, and data analysis software.
- Able to work independently and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Committed Christian with strong integrity and alignment with World Vision’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agri-business, Agri-economics, community development, statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data management, monitoring, and evaluation of livelihood programs or similar contexts.
- Proven ability to apply quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including sampling, survey design, and analysis.
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on facilitation and capacity-building.
Work Environment & Travel:
- 80% field-based, 20% office work.
- Local and occasional international travel required.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed.
