Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management of grants and private non-sponsorship (PNS) projects as assigned by the Integrated Programmes Director.
  • Lead the development and implementation of capacity-building initiatives for Grant Acquisition and Management (GAM) within the National Office (NO).
  • Address and resolve grant management issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with donors and development partners.
  • Collaborate with national and international stakeholders to strengthen donor engagement and maintain credibility.
  • Develop systems for grant performance management and compliance.
  • Assist the Resource Development team with complex grant proposal preparation.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create marketing materials to position the organization in Zambia.
  • Build capacity in Area Program (AP) staff for grants management and report writing.
  • Participate in Technical Working Groups and contribute to writing/editing Technical Briefing Papers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Integrated Programs Director.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BA in Social Sciences (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 6 years of experience in grant management, with knowledge of policies and regulations from donors such as USG, EU, and UKAID.
  • Strong capacity-building, relationship management, and grant compliance skills.
  • Experience in managing high-capacity staff and teams remotely.
  • Excellent cross-cultural, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with partners and organizations at all levels.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based 80%, field 20%.
  • International travel may be required.
