Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Development Facilitators and Volunteer Coaches to provide extension services to Thrive Together participants.
- Ensure that all participant households follow proper livestock husbandry practices such as appropriate housing, nutrition, timely vaccinations, and other agricultural best practices.
- Supervise coaches to ensure they conduct household visits as per the agreement and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Conduct regular household visits to monitor participant progress and ensure adherence to recommended practices.
- Strengthen and mentor Savings for Transformation groups, supporting their business ventures and savings activities.
- Build technical capacity among Volunteer Coaches to improve service delivery in the community.
- Enhance the Community-Led Agricultural Extension Delivery System, working alongside other stakeholders such as Camp Veterinary/Livestock Officers.
- Actively document and share program lessons and best practices with partners and stakeholders to demonstrate contributions to child well-being.
- Submit monthly monitoring reports, along with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress reports.
- Participate in planning and review meetings with various stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Grade 12 certificate.
- Qualification: Certificate or diploma in Agriculture, Business, or Development Studies.
- Experience: 1 year of work in a related field, preferably with experience in climate-smart agriculture programs.
- Skills: Strong community engagement and extension service skills, basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and good interpersonal relations.
- Work Environment: Willingness to travel 80% of the time for fieldwork and spend most of the time working within the community.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Mature and committed Christian, with strong personal integrity.
- Demonstrated community development skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
- Good monitoring and report writing skills, able to work with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
- Motorbike rider license is required.
- Willingness to live in the Area Programme and adapt to a rural setting.
Work Environment:
- The role involves 80% fieldwork and 20% office work, primarily in the community.
- Applicants must be able to travel extensively within the program area.
